Every Child Deserves a Head Start
We know that stress, trauma, and instability can severely impact a child's brain development, and mental and physical well-being. Our goal is to get their social and emotional development on track, and ready for school.
Our program has the power to uplift families out. We use a holistic approach to address the needs of the entire household. Teachers, parents, center directors, family advocates, and mental health specialists collaborate on a regular basis to craft a plan tailored to each individual child's needs.
All our preschool classrooms provide mental health consultations, and have integrated a trauma-informed care framework into their programming. YMCA of the East Bay maintains strong partnerships with school districts and community organizations so we can connect kids and families to critical services and support.
Enrollment is open to all families who qualify for services. Learn more about the enrollment application here.
We have 25+ centers in four counties across the East Bay. See where we work and find the center that's right for you and your family.
