Learn more about our Preschool Teacher position

What you'll do:

  • Create an inviting and stimulating learning environment for children of all abilities, and their families
  • Develop and implement creative curriculum and classroom activities, guided by our program standards, and individualized to meet the needs of all children
  • Carefully observe, track, and assess the progress of each child in your care
  • Plan and facilitate activities using both verbal and non-verbal learning strategies
  • Conduct daily health checks for each child to ensure growth and positive learning outcomes
  • Cultivate healthy and professional relationships with families through home visits, regular conversations, conferences, and daily notes


What you'll need:

  • High School Diploma. AA degree preferred.
  • Current Child Development permit at the Associate Teacher level or above
  • Successful completion of 12 or more semester units in Early Childhood Education, for Early Head Start, completion of 6 units of infant/toddler development with grade C or above

What you'll do:

  • Support the day to day operations of our Early Learning Center in a variety of ways!
  • Support primary teachers in the classroom, provide staff breaks and cover classrooms as needed
  • Assist in planning and implementing learning activities that meet the needs of all individual children
  • Provide guidance and supervision to children during all program activities
  • Offer insight and feedback to assist teachers in tracking each child's growth and development
  • Support teachers on home visits and help build positive relationships with families
  • Create a warm and welcoming learning environment for children and families


What you'll need:

  • High School Diploma
  • Upon hire (unless already achieved) assistant's must enroll in at least 3 units of Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university per semester, until 12 units are successfully completed with a grade of C or better
  • One year of Early Childhood classroom experience preferred, but not required, volunteer or paid experience will be considered
