Raising children in the age of technology can be amazing, but it also brings new challenges and concerns for all families. In celebration of #SaferInternetDay, Google wants to help your family be safe, smart, and positive online!
The Be Internet Awesome workshop will feature discussion-based parent-to-parent conversations about helping children make safe and secure decisions online.
We'll equip parents with the tools to teach their kids how to communicate responsibly, differentiate the real from the fake in the face of phishing and scams, and talk openly about controversial content with their families.
The workshops will also provide the tools and resources to build healthy tech habits with the Family Link app from Google. Workshop attendees will receive free bilingual resources, answers to questions about online safety and digital citizenship, and tools and information to help facilitate discussions at home.
Workshops will be available in 9 different locations throughout the East Bay. Time, location, and registration info are listed below!
