Masks Are Now Optional For Fully Vaccinated Members!
Exciting news! California is officially aligned with the CDC on the use of face coverings.
What does this mean for the Y?
Beginning June 15, masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals during indoor and outdoor workouts.
Safety remains our top priority for members and staff. Masks are still required for any members who are not fully vaccinated. All YMCA staff will also continue to wear masks until we receive further guidance from Cal/OSHA later this week.
If you are vaccinated and prefer to continue to wear a mask, we support you!
In addition to the news of face coverings, the state issued revised guidelines that will inform our updated operating procedures regarding other services such as lockers, showers, capacity, group exercise, and more. We appreciate your patience while we finalize our new procedures and train staff. We will share updates as they become available.
We are so grateful to all of our members for standing with the Y during this challenging time. You navigated all of the changes with the strength and caring that are hallmarks of the Y community. With your support, we were able to shift our services all while upholding our mission of empowering youth, advancing health, and strengthening communities.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we continue to safely navigate through additional changes. We can’t wait to see you at the Y!
